We use many different kinds of leather, the most common being: deer, elk, buffalo, deer-tanned cowhide, bull & cow. Each leather, as well as the tanning process used, brings unique qualities and looks to each type of leather. For example, when we make leashes or reins we prefer to use deer or elk hide because by individual piece of lace they are the strongest leathers. We don't send out products that are going to break, unravel or fall apart but instead use techniques that will keep your product both functional and beautiful for hopefully years to come.

It may seem like they are high but in reality they are actually very good for the work we do. Some braiding styles can take an hour to do six inches! We also pay extra attention to weak spots in the leather and position our patterns to not include unsightly scars or areas where your finger pokes through. Almost every product we make is completely hand-made and the one machine we do use is a normal leather sewing machine with an actual person running it. We only buy top-quality leather and when we are putting your product together we are paying attention to grains and texture, unlike a machine that just doesn't care. That price also enables us to keep our quality control at top-notch. These are the things that have kept our company successful and sought after since Dale Kendall started Kendall Braiding Company around 1967.

Of course, I also added shipping prices to the product price to save myself the grey hair that is involved with working with all this technology; so one less hassle for all of us!

We are constantly finding new colors and styles of leather so in the interest of giving you more choices and options we prefer to deal with you personally on those choices. When you place your order, we will email you within 24 hours with the currently available hide and color choices. This way you aren't missing out on a newly arrived choice that you might have fallen in love with. We like to work closely with our customers and, more importantly, when you open that package in the mail we want there to be a huge smile on your face because you LOVE your product!

The return policy is pretty strict, however this is because we deal in custom products and those are hard to resell if someone decides they don't want it after all. This is also why we work so closely with our clients to ensure you are getting what you want, not to mention we take pride in what we send out to you.

Because every one of them is custom made, we don't start it until you have ordered it and customized it. There are several reasons for this. First, you ordered it and it should be what you want! The second reason is that you will never get leather that looks exactly like the last batch. Every hide takes the tanning process differently and a lot of tanneries change their tanning process as better ones come available. This adds the benefit of no product being identical though. They may be in the same hide type, same color and same design but each piece of leather has unique qualities that add that little "it's all mine" touch to it!
